My name is Andrew David Roberts, but everyone calls me Dave. I was born and raised here in Jacksonville and a graduate of Terry Parker High School. Coming out of high school, I was highly recruited for football, wrestling, and choir. After 2 years of college football in Pittsburgh, PA and injuring my knee multiple times, I returned to Florida and graduated from Florida State University. While I was there, I took a class on “Aging & Society”. This class intrigued me that this could be a great career. I also was able to work in Washington, DC for the summer of 1997 focusing on Public policy for Seniors with President Clinton and Dr. Jill Quadagno, the Director of the Claude Pepper Institute for Aging & Public Policy at FSU.
I have now worked with seniors for over the last 23 years here in the NE Florida market. I have worked in many roles from being a Social Worker all the way into operations as an Executive Director. Over the last several years, I had the pleasure to care for my dad, who lost his battle with Lewy bodies Dementia, Alzheimer’s, and Cerebral Traumatic Encephalopathy. Caring for Seniors is my “life-blood” and a true passion of mine. I love the opportunity to make a difference in the life of seniors daily. I look forward to the next chapter here at Beach House and enriching the lives of our residents.
